About Ramit Varma:Ramit Varma is the embodiment of the American Dream. As the son of immigrants, the value of opportunity was never lost on Ramit — just as his father came to the US to build a better life for himself and his family, Ramit came to Los Angeles to do the same. After receiving his MBA from UCLA, he co-founded Revolution Prep, an online tutoring platform dedicated to making tutoring more effective and higher education more attainable for America’s youth. He built a company from the ground up centered around giving kids and young adults more opportunities to succeed in life. Ramit is running for Mayor of Los Angeles because he loves this city. He lives here with his wife and kids and knows first-hand its potential as the greatest city in the world. Like every other Angeleno, however, he has seen that potential become clouded by instability and lawlessness. Now, it’s Ramit's turn to give back to the city that gave him so much. As Mayor, Ramit will focus on three main issues — issues that are responsible for the city’s decline: Homelessness, Affordability, and Public Safety. What used to be a city of opportunity and hope is now infamous for the vast number of people sleeping on the streets, a soaring cost of living, and a lack of accountability. At the end of the day, we have a bunch of candidates who come from the corrupt system that is responsible for all the issues we see Los Angeles facing today. We need someone who is not focused on appeasing the political elites who got him elected, but who will work with both sides of the aisle to get things done. Ramit Varma is the only candidate who is not a politician and has no interest in becoming one. He is not concerned with climbing the political ladder or leveraging the office to advance his career — he only wants to build a better Los Angeles for the millions of people who call this city home. It’s time to vote for change. It’s time to REBOOT L.A.
